A Break From The Tech Lifestyle

Mr. Satish
and his wife are both techies from Hyderabad. For a long time they were wishing
to explore North East and we were glad that we received the opportunity to help
them to do so. They somehow against the norm had asked for a custom itenary
which we were happy to provide them. Since, they were working on a budget tour
they further had requested us for a shared tour package where a certain number
of tourists have to share a vehicle. This helps them in saving some good money
but it can come with a slight inconvenience which we did warned them about.
Nevertheless, they wanted a go ahead for shared package and we agreed upon.

Our local
representative, Asif, had received them at the Bagdogra airport on 26th
May and how their trip continued can be seen in the brief itenary below:

Day 1: Pick up at Bagdogra Airport->
Gangtok

Day 2: Gangtok-> Lachung

Day 3: Lachung-> Yumthang-> Gangtok

Day 4: Changu Lake->Baba Mandir-> MG
Marg (Nathula remained closed)

Day 5: Gangtok->Darjeeling

Day 6: Darjeeling Local Sightseeing

Day 7: Drop to Bagdogra

While we did
our best to run a smooth tour for them, irrespective of the nature of it,
unfortunately there were some troubled moments for which we would like quote
Mr. Satish himself:

“We started
quite well, the driver was good but due to rain we had slight issue on reaching
our hotel. My wife who doesn’t really talk easily with everyone was started to
feel somewhat agitated but good thing was the Seasonzblue team members were
always available for us. It was Mr. Sumant who was co-ordinating the tour for
us. He ensured that any possible panicking situation has been dealt with pro
actively. Somehow, although a bit late we reached our hotel where we kind of
were not sure about the room which again at our request was immediately
changed. But the real problem we faced was in our shared ride which happened to
be with 8 other tourists in a Tata Sumo. It became congested which we were
warned about and although we enjoyed the sightseeing and Yumthang valley, the
ride literally made us real uncomfortable.
