Sikkim Tour in Late June

Normally, when the monsoon sets in Sikkim which is usually unpredictable in there We advice people to either prepone or postpone the trip or pick an alternative location. Nevertheless, our guest Mr. Pachiyappan insisted on doing the tour then as his tickets were done along with his rest of the family members. While we insisted to at least avoid North Sikkim then which is more vulnerable to the weather, the road condition gets terrible. But he said, he wants North Sikkim and after a long conversation with one of our senior most executive, Mr. Sumant, they decided to have North Sikkim in their package with regards to possible to a change in plan due to weather conditions  and authorizes alike. Gladly, the weather remained bright and sunny for most part of their tour and they were able to have some great time minus the Gurudongmar lake visit in Lachen as the road remained shut down on their day of planned visit due to the cloud burst situation a few days ago. However, with the assistance of our local representative Mr. Smile we organized a trip to Namchi to compensate for Lachen.

Here is their brief itenary for the tour:

Day 1: Pick up at Bagdogra airport -> Gangtok

Day 2: Gangtok Local Sightseeing

Day 3: Gangtok->Lachung

Day 4: Yumthang Valley->Zero Point

Day 5: Lachung->Gangtok

Day 6: Changu Lake->Baba Mandir->MG Marg (Nathula remained Closed)

Day 7: Gangtok-> Namchi->Pelling

Day 8: Pelling Sightseeing

Day 9: Pelling->Darjeeling

While, they missed Gurudongmar Lake we are fortunate to have been able to compensate good enough without causing them any trouble and send them home happily. Infact, even Mr. Pachiyappan luckily was very understanding as he said, “Well, it was somewhat unfortunate (with North Sikkim), however, Namchi made sure we don’t regret missing it which somehow was never in our plan yet ended up as the best day of our tour.”
