Greetings from SEASONZBLUE’s representative at the airport/railway station and get freshen up take some snak and without wasting time let’s start the tour on high. Bomdila is situated at a distance of around 340kms from capital of Assam i.e. Guwhati. It is going to be a 10-11 hrs drive through the valleys and green mountails, feeling the lungs with fresh air.bomdila (8,200 ft.), the head quarter of west kameng districtof arunachal Pradesh on the way, visit tipi orchidarium, a place with over 500 orchids. While on the drive, take a break to visit nag temple. Check in to the hotel and take rest after such a long journey. Evening is free to leisure. Night stay at bomdila.
After breakfast check out from hotel and set the day for Tawang, at a distance of 187kms at 11,500ft from sea level, once served as headquarter of Kameng district and also known as ‘the land of Monpa Tribe. Continue the journey to reach Jaswanth Garh, Sela Pass at a heinght of 13494ft from sea level, also visit the Sela Lake and if you are lucky to find snow built your snowman, this pass and kale is famous for scenic beauty found none other than this place. On the way visit Bomdila Monastery in bomdila.on arrival check in at your hotel. Overnight stay at Tawang.
After breakfast visit tawang monstery, also known as Golden Namgyey Lhatse. Later visit Urgeling Gompa, 6th Dalai Lama’s birth place. You can also visit the Craft Center in tawang sells beautiful masks, hand woven carpets, jewelry in silver, coral and amber. You will drive to visit high altitude lake called as Shonga-Tser lake. Further drive to Sangetsar lake, filled with thrill and war bunkers of Chinese aggression in 1962. You can drive further to Bumla Pass which is located about 37 km away from Tawang. During return, hit at Pangong Tang Tso lake(Madhuri lake, charges extra) to view beautiful scenes and aerial view of the town. Return back to hotel. Evening is free for liesure. After early morning breakfast drive to Dirang (at 4910ft) thrugh the apple and kiwi farms exploring the places which serves the nation every year with its sweet fruits. On the way visit Dirang monastery to get a sign of peace. Kalachakra monastery is one not to be missed. On the way also witness the famous Nurang Falls. Tipi on the banks of Bhrali river are another point of attraction. On the way visit famous Nag temple. Evening if free to enjoy. Night stay at Dirang.
After breakfast start your drive for Tezpur for a night halt to reduce the journey. Tezpur is a district of Assam fsmous for its national parks, lakes, hills and bridges. Popularly known as Cole Park, Chitralekha Udyan is one of the famous tourist destinations in Tezpur. IT was established in 1906 and later renovated in the year 1996. The location of Nameri National Park in itself is amazing. Lying on the Himalayan foothills, this 200-sq.km park opens the door for you to view some of the rarest species of plants and animals. Nameri National Park is 35 km away from Tezpur. Agnigarh refers to fire fort or a residence amidst fire. Agnigarh, the big fortress on hilltop, was constructed to isolate King Bana’s daughter Usha, from Lord Krishna’s grandson Anirudha. Kalia Bhomora Setu, the pre-stressed concrete bridge over River Brahmaputra connects Sonitpur and Nagaon districts. The 3015-meter long bridge took 6 years to be completed.
After breakfast drive to Shillong the capital of Meghalaya also know as ‘Scotland of east’. Shillong is one destination to spend you time in the middle of Himalayan hills with chilled breeze and aromatic aroma. visit Don Bosco Monument & Ward’s Lake. Also Visit Mawphlang-Elephant falls, Shillong Peak, Smit Cathedral, Umiam Lake .Arrive and check in at hotel. Enroute visit ‘Kalakshetra’, a place where Assamese history and culture presents through Light and sound show. Return to hotel. Overnight stay will be at Shillong.
After early breakfast start your drive for Cherrajuni which is situated about 60 kms from shilling, situated at the height of 4,869ft above the sea level. On the way to your destination Cherrapunji, the wettest place on earth you can vitness the heart walming beauties of nature the waterfalls, flowing down the clif of green, roaring like a monster but peaceful to the heart. Shillong Peak and Elephant Falls, named after an Elephant like stone at its foot, the Elephant Falls are amongst the most popular falls in the North-East. Cherrapunji is officially known as SHORA and is a must to be added to your bucketlist while exlopring Meghalaya. At Cherrapunji, visit Nohkalikai Falls (the tallest plunge waterfall in India), Doubble Deckker Living Root Bridge, Mawsmai Falls, Thang-kharang Park and Mawsmai cave which is one of the 100 odd limestone caves in Meghalaya. Return back to hotel in the evening. Night stay at shillong.
After breakfast drive back to Guwhati to visit Kamakhya temple. The Kamakhya Temple is also called as Kamrup – Kamakhya and is a famous Hindu temple. It was built by the devotees to offer their devotion towards the mother goddess Kamakhya. This holy pagoda is considered as one of the oldest among the 51 Shakti Pithas. Also visit Umananda Temple, Devaloi located at Peacock Island, Assam, in the middle of Brahmaputra River was built around 1681-1696. Bhayananda, a form of Shiva resides here. Drive back to hotel or Airport/Railway station depending upon your further journey you can go for shopping as well.
